Soki

Soki London is an independent fragrance brand founded by Sophie King. King began a YouTube fragrance channel in 2015, using reviews and comparisons to explain perfume in straightforward language; the online community that formed around it became the foundation for the brand. In 2022, that community supported Soki London’s first fragrance, Empress, through Kickstarter, and the perfume launched in November of that year. The brand’s creative identity treats fragrance as self-expression, giving each scent a distinct character or emotional identity associated with a different facet of modern femininity. Founder-led and shaped through continuing conversation with its fragrance community, Soki London involves that community in ideas and development decisions. Empress was created with perfumer Ruth Mastenbroek and with input from the online community that supported its launch. In 2023, Aphrodite won Fragrantica’s Best British Niche Fragrance award for the year, adding a documented distinction to the brand’s early fragrance history.
