Solafa Scents

Solafa Scents is a branch of Agar Aura and the brainchild of Agar Aura distiller-perfumer Taha Syed. The house grew from Syed’s sensitivity to mainstream fragrances and his later inspiration from high-end French perfumes that combine natural and synthetic materials. Its creative purpose is to bring together different perfume philosophies, ingredient sources, and traditions from around the world. Its compositions use natural and synthetic ingredients alongside oils, resins, gums, crystals, isolates, and tinctures. The name “Solafa” refers to a choicest selection or sweetest portion. Before Solafa Scents, Syed’s Agar Aura began as a hobby and had developed into a specialist oud-oil business by August 2011, when he was identified as its owner. Syed is identified as Solafa’s perfumer; Karama, Jungle Song, and Oud de Grasse are dated to 2023. Karama is among Solafa Scents’ most popular offerings and brings together Western and Middle Eastern perfumery.
