Fragrance house
Sora Dora
Sora Dora was founded by Quentin Dorado and launched in March 2022. Its family history reaches back to Antoine Soradora, born in Loulé, Portugal, who moved to Gréasque, Provence, in 1920 and later worked as a jasmine-growing gardener in Grasse while experimenting with perfume creation. Antoine passed fragrance knowledge to his three daughters; Dorado’s parents later worked in perfumery and founded a perfumery in Nantes, connecting Sora Dora to four generations of family involvement in fragrance. Dorado developed the brand after selling his personal perfume collection and discovering a community of fragrance enthusiasts, then began creating his own olfactory stories. Its creative identity draws on personal memories and family history, an interest in French perfumery and fragrances that evolve on skin, and modern minimalist visual design. The initial project was financed by a family friend, and the company has self-financed since its first production, allowing it to remain independent. Dorado works with the Flair studio, while Amélie Bourgeois trained him in formulation and raw materials; his brother Ben Dorado handled the art direction. In 2025, Lü Bu marked a shift away from the gourmand register associated with the Irréelle collection toward a darker, woody, smoky and resinous direction.
