Fragrance house
Source Adage
Source Adage was co-founded in 2015 by creatives Christopher Draghi and Robert Dobay and launched that September with a curated retail store at 314 Warren Street in Hudson, New York. Its early identity focused on gender-neutral ambient fragrances inspired by distinct American landscapes and atmospheric experiences, presented through a design-led, masculine-leaning aesthetic. Draghi and Dobay developed fragrance concepts hands-on and worked with expert or master perfumers to finalize formulations while retaining their creative direction. The Hudson location operated from 2015 to 2022. To bring its fragrances to Europe, the founders and studio moved from upstate New York to the coastal hills of Tuscany, where the scent studio is documented as operating from 2023 onward. This move reframed Source Adage as a brand born in New York and reborn in Italy while continuing its founders’ hands-on, narrative-led approach to perfumery. Aétai was introduced as a fine fragrance built around the idea of balance between two sides and was placed at the center of a 2025 niche-perfumery event in Florence.
