Space Fluid

Space Fluid is an independent perfume house from Prague, Czechia, founded by writer and artist Markéta Baňková, also known as Markéta Maf. After developing her own fragrance line from around 2018–2019 and spending about five years preparing it, Baňková established Space Fluid as a house where perfume connects older traditions with modern technology and explores memory, emotion, meditation, and transcendence. Self-taught in perfumery and trained in London and Grasse, she is the house’s perfumer and creative author, creating the fragrances and designing and hand-painting the bottles; she also designed the brand website. The work extends from idea and formula to hand-filled bottles without agencies or corporate backing. In 2023, Space Fluid was presented through a fashion-show-style launch, while Baňková’s Prague exhibition A Scent Odyssey included the house’s first four fragrances through December 31, 2023. Among them, she identifies High to Lotus as her best composition.
