Space NK

Founded in 1991, Space NK first opened its doors in Covent Garden, London, in 1993. The original site combined beauty with fashion, accessories, and refreshments; after three years, the beauty business became the focus, followed by standalone Space NK apothecary stores. Founder Nicky Kinnaird conceived the concept around a hand-picked selection of products from innovators worldwide, paired with expert, cross-brand advice and discovery. Space NK became owned by Manzanita Capital in 2002. On July 10, 2025, Ulta Beauty announced its acquisition of Space NK from Manzanita, with the retailer continuing as a standalone subsidiary. Space NK presents itself as a curator and destination for beauty discovery, selecting innovative international brands for exploration online and in stores.
