Springfield
Founded in 1988 within the Cortefiel group, Springfield was created to dress young, urban and cosmopolitan men. In 2006, it expanded from its original menswear focus to target women as well, establishing its public identity as a casual-fashion brand for young men and women. Its corporate history shifted in 2005, when CVC, PAI Partners and Permira took stakes in the company that owned Springfield. On 21 July 2017, funds advised by CVC and PAI agreed to acquire Grupo Cortefiel, while Permira exited the ownership structure. In 2018, the parent company adopted Tendam as its corporate brand, replacing Grupo Cortefiel as the group identity. Headquartered in Madrid, Springfield is also associated with fragrances including Springfield EDT and Rewind & Play Again Walking on the Sun EDT, which Primor identifies among the brand’s best-selling scents.
