St. Tropez
St. Tropez is a sunless self-tanning and bronzing brand whose product originated in Los Angeles with Robyn and Tim Gibson. Following a 1993 distribution deal with Judy Naaké and Norman Oley, it launched in the United Kingdom in 1996. In 2006, LDC acquired the business and brought Michelle Feeney into the company; the brand subsequently moved away from its earlier orange-tan positioning through changes to packaging and product formats. PZ Cussons acquired St. Tropez Holdings Ltd on 27 September 2010 and remains its owner. In April 2024, PZ Cussons announced plans to sell the brand as part of a portfolio refocus, but after receiving multiple offers it decided on 26 June 2025 to retain St. Tropez and establish a new strategic direction. That reset included a partnership with The Emerson Group covering US customer management, logistics services and brand activation. PZ Cussons marked 30 years of St. Tropez in April 2026, continuing to associate the brand with self-tanning innovation and a Riviera-inspired glow.
