Stefano Ricci

Stefano Ricci began with necktie designs and expanded its menswear offer during the 1990s to include jackets, suits, knitwear, sportswear, footwear, leather goods, and precious-metal accessories. In 1986, Stefano Ricci promoted Classico Italia, a consortium formed to showcase high-end Italian menswear at Pitti Uomo; after establishing a New York showroom, the company opened its first directly operated boutique in Shanghai in 1993. The Ricci family has remained in control, with Stefano and Claudia Ricci and their sons Niccolò and Filippo identified as the family leadership around the brand. The company broadened into home and lifestyle in 2009 through SR HOME and the Royal Suite Collection, then acquired Florence’s Antico Setificio Fiorentino, founded in 1786, in 2010. It marked its 40th anniversary at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery in 2012 and its 50th at Luxor’s Temple of Hatshepsut in 2022. Since 2023, the Explorer Project has presented menswear in natural and cultural locations worldwide; in 2025, Fashional Geographic extended this storytelling through the brand’s first documentary series. Its fragrance line began with Classic, launched in 1997 for the brand’s 25th anniversary.
