Fragrance house
Stephane Humbert
Founded in Paris in 2012 by Stéphane Humbert Lucas, the eponymous fragrance house draws its creative identity from his work across painting, poetry, and perfumery, including his stated synesthetic association of colors, sounds, and scents. Before establishing the house, Lucas was associated with the fragrance brands Nez à Nez and SoOud. Its first major expression, La Collection 777, launched in 2012, inspired by his travels in the Middle East and spiritual interpretation of the number seven. The house is especially associated with this collection, whose current best-seller page includes Black Gemstone and Soleil de Jeddah. Launched in 2013 and created by Lucas, Soleil de Jeddah is described as a unisex leather fragrance. In 2022, the house introduced La Collection Serpent, a creative shift toward stories and legends surrounding the symbolic figure of the snake. The brand is operated through S.H.L., an active Paris-registered fragrance company directed by Stéphane Humbert Lucas.
