Fragrance house

Sterling

Established in Dubai in 1998 as a fragrance manufacturing and distribution business, Sterling operates under Fakhruddin Holdings, a family-founded group whose origins are traced to 1963. The company expanded from fragrance manufacturing into a broader beauty business spanning fragrances, cosmetics, color cosmetics, and personal care. In 2005, it launched Hamidi Oud and Perfumes around oriental perfumery and Arabic fragrance traditions, followed by Cosmo Cosmetics in 2008. Sterling introduced Armaf in 2010 as a French-fragrance collection and later launched Risala Perfumes in 2021, another line focused on oriental perfumery and Arabic fragrance heritage. Its fragrance portfolio also includes Flavia, Jenny Glow, and Just Jack, reflecting Sterling’s role as a multi-brand fragrance group rather than a single-scent house. A notable fragrance milestone came in 2022, when Armaf’s Club de Nuit Intense Man won Consumer Fragrance of the Year at Beautyworld Middle East, while Club de Nuit Sillage received the Breakout Star Product of the Year award in fragrance.
