Strangers Parfumerie

Founded in 2017 by Thai perfumer Prin Lomros, Strangers Parfumerie is associated with Thailand and with Lomros’s Bangkok-based perfumery practice. Its name refers both to an unrecognized or unconscious side of the self and to a dream in which creating the brand changed the course of his life. The house turns personal experiences, journeys, cultures, food, memories, joy, misery, and sadness into olfactory experiences, drawing on Asian traditions, film, and style. Lomros’s film background shaped this approach: after studying film and taking short perfumery courses in Grasse, he described imagining a moving image through color, sound, and texture before translating it into accords and materials. The first collection included Cigar Rum, Ember, Fume Ma Peau, La Malila, and Maia; four of those fragrances were later discontinued. Cigar Rum was listed as an Artisan Category finalist in the 2018 Art and Olfaction Awards, with Lomros credited as perfumer.
