Strenesse

Strenesse began in 1949 as a family-owned textile business founded by the Strehle family in Nördlingen, Bavaria. In 1972, Gerd Strehle became a partner in the family company and combined Strehle with the French word Jeunesse to create the name Strenesse. Gabriele Strehle joined in 1973 and became chief designer in 1975, providing creative leadership that was central to the brand’s development for decades. Under Gerd Strehle’s business leadership and Gabriele Strehle’s creative direction, the company developed from a coat and suit manufacturer into an internationally oriented fashion brand, with its main women’s line presented at Milan fashion weeks from 1995. Strenesse Blue was introduced in 1993, while the main women’s line adopted the name Strenesse Gabriele Strehle in 1998. After a second insolvency filing in July 2019, the business was discontinued at the end of 2020. At the end of August 2023, Munich-based Brand House Production GmbH acquired all Strenesse trademark rights from Swiss H2P AG and assigned Mirko Borsche and Bureau Borsche responsibility for the brand’s image and collections. In November 2024, Strenesse launched four new fragrances as part of a fragrance relaunch.
