Suavinex
The group behind Suavinex began in 1980, when Exclusivas Rimar was founded to manufacture feminine-hygiene and children’s products. Suavinex S.A. entered the small babycare sector in 1983, first distributing exclusively through pharmacies before diversifying its products. Its early development combined functional innovation with design: in 1988, it introduced a three-position teat system that adapted bottle flow to a baby’s sucking rate and the type of food, then began entering European markets in 1992. In 2008, Suavinex launched its first limited-edition collection and presented soothers, bottles and clips as baby fashion accessories. The following year, it launched Baby Cologne, the fragrance most closely associated with the brand, and established a children’s-fragrance business in Spain. Suavinex expanded into cosmetics in 2011 with baby skincare and products for women during and after pregnancy, and marked its 40th anniversary in 2020. Ownership changed in October 2022, when Peek-A-Boo SAS acquired a majority stake in its Spanish parent and brought Suavinex into the Terzo group alongside Béaba and Childhome. In 2026, Portobello Capital acquired a majority stake in the combined Béaba-Suavinex group, alongside Bluegem Capital Partners and management.
