Superman

Superman was created by Cleveland teenagers Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and debuted in the June 1938 issue of Action Comics. Its foundational creative identity combines a heroic character with moral ideals expressed through “Truth, Justice, and the American Way.” In 2025, James Gunn wrote and directed a Superman film that provided the creative context for a licensed fragrance collaboration between House of Sillage and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. House of Sillage’s Superman Men’s Fragrance is presented as a fresh, floral, oceanic parfum centered on the contrast between heroic strength and human warmth, humility, and compassion. On February 27, 2026, Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery announced an agreement under which Paramount would acquire Warner Bros. Discovery; on August 14, Paramount said litigation by 12 U.S. state attorneys general remained the final obstacle to completion.
