Fragrance house
Swiss Arabian Global
Swiss Arabian was established in Dubai in 1974 by Yemeni perfumer Hussein Adam Ali and is described as the first perfume manufacturing house in the UAE. Its name reflects an early partnership with Swiss fragrance company Givaudan, following the founder’s family trade in Swiss perfumes in Yemen. The brand’s stated identity combines Arabian fragrance notes and heritage with Swiss technique, innovation, quality, and production standards. Swiss Arabian is documented as a family-run business; Hussein Adam Ali later stepped back and handed the reins to his son, Nader Adam Ali. Its published timeline records Arab female fragrance FIFI Awards in 2011 and 2012 and an Arab male fragrance FIFI Award in 2013. In 2016, it underwent a rebrand involving a new logo and visual identity, alongside the launch of its e-commerce website. Its first perfume was Devina, a feminine oil blend. The Shaghaf Collection is identified as a standout collection, with Shaghaf Oud and variants listed among the brand’s best sellers. The original Shaghaf Oud is a unisex oud-and-gourmand fragrance combining oud with saffron, rose, praline, and vanilla.
