Fragrance house

Swiss Arabian

Established in the United Arab Emirates in 1974 by Hussein Adam Ali, Swiss Arabian was the country’s first perfume house. Ali had arrived from Yemen that year and built the brand in the UAE. The house began through a partnership with Givaudan, bringing Swiss perfumery expertise into dialogue with Arabian fragrance traditions, an East-West concept it continues to present alongside modern techniques. From its founder’s early perfume business, Swiss Arabian developed into a multinational fragrance group, with his sons Nabeel Adam Ali and Nader Adam Ali later joining and helping shape its development. In 2016, the brand introduced a new logo and visual identity for a sleeker, more modern image while retaining its East-West concept. It marked its 50th anniversary in 2024. Its fragrance legacy includes Jannet El Firdaus, a flagship product beginning in 1984, and Shaghaf Oud, a global bestseller and an icon that helped introduce oud to a broad international audience.
