Fragrance house

SYD Botanica

SYD Botanica began in Hawaii in 2015 as an incense company founded by Sydney Buffman, and that project became the foundation for the fragrance brand. Buffman developed it through successive relocations to Warsaw in 2016, Boulder in 2018, and Los Angeles in 2021. She is the brand’s perfumer and a multidisciplinary artist, bringing together design, incense making, herbalism, and alchemy while creating both its visual material and fragrance formulas. The brand treats scent as an exploration of its effects on mind and body, with each perfume imagined as an entire world; its multimedia approach has also encompassed plant posters, perfumes, and poetry. Romantix pairs fragrance with music through a collaboration with dream-pop musician Winter made to accompany the album Adult Romantix, and by January 2026 it was the brand’s best seller by far. Ghost Flowers was the second-most-popular fragrance and was noted for prompting emotional responses.
