Sylhouette Parfums

Founded in Vietnam in 2018, Sylhouette Parfums is an independent Vietnamese perfumery founded by Truong Chieu Sy and Nhan Ngoc Bao Tran. Sy serves as the brand’s perfumer and creative figure, shaping its work around darkness, imperfection, melancholy, and the sublime. Sylhouette’s stated identity also embraces the extreme, artistic freedom, and the connection between emotion and scent, while its creative inspiration ranges from poetry, visual art, cinema, and photography to everyday stories, emotions, and events. The brand organizes its creations through conceptual groupings including Les Luminaires Silencieux and Les Vanités, alongside limited and exclusive creations. Molotov Cocktail, unveiled in 2023, offers a particularly clear expression of this conceptual approach: its presentation frames the fragrance as a response to war and conflict. In 2024, Sy won the Art and Olfaction Awards’ Artisan category for Molotov Cocktail, giving the Vietnamese house a documented distinction within contemporary artisan perfumery.
