System Professional Lipid Code

System Professional Lipid Code traces its origins to 1974, when Wella established System Professional as a range of hair and scalp treatments for professional hairdressers, developed around clients’ individual needs. The brand’s approach is a coded, modular, science-led system tailored to individual hair types. It includes LipidCode Complex, patented technology using hair-identical lipids to help regenerate hair from the core. In 2003, Procter & Gamble acquired Wella AG and its subsidiaries; in 2016, Coty acquired Procter & Gamble’s beauty portfolio, including its professional brands. Today, Wella Company lists System Professional among its brands and identifies it as a hair and scalp company, with individualized, science-based treatment at the center of its hair-care offering.
