T. LeClerc

T. LeClerc was founded in Paris in 1881 by pharmacist Théophile Leclerc, who developed a dermophile rice powder in his Madeleine-area pharmacy. Offered in multiple shades at a time when other powders were white, the original powder established the house’s enduring focus on complexion color and powder. The brand evolved from that pharmacy-origin product into a makeup house spanning complexion, eyes, lips, and accessories, later adding a scented universe of powdery perfumes and oils. Its identity remains rooted in French pharmacy, complexion expertise, controlled formulation, and makeup combined with skin-care-oriented ingredients. The loose rice powder achieved immediate success, became a bestseller, and continues to be popular with makeup artists. Its fragrance universe includes Le Poudré, a three-Eau-de-Parfum collection inspired by the signature rice powder, with floral and powdery profiles rounded by vanilla and white musk. Laetitia and Frédéric Poux bought T. LeClerc on 1 March 2020; in February 2026, Maison Théophile LeClerc sold its commercial business for T. LeClerc cosmetics and perfumes to Maison T LeClerc.
