Te Plus Te was founded by Eiko Miyazaki in 2018. The brand grew from Miyazaki’s earlier home-based production of Hinoki-scented hand washes, soaps, body mists, and home sprays. Her background as a ceramic artist and her Japanese heritage shaped the brand’s concept and its focus on pure Hinoki. The name Te Plus Te is presented as meaning “hand and hand” in Japanese, reflecting an emphasis on creativity, harmony, simplicity, and reconnection with nature. Te Plus Te’s public identity centers on sustainably sourced Hinoki essential oil from Japan and an unblended, single-oil fragrance. Its fragrance identity is especially associated with Hinoki, expressed through one-note Hinoki offerings and Hinoki collections.
