Tea Rose
Tea Rose traces its history to Perfumer’s Workshop, whose official chronology begins in 1970. Its early identity was shaped by luxury custom-blending at a Bloomingdale’s counter, where essential oils were turned into individualized scents; those counters later evolved into appointment-based services at Harrods, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. By the end of the 1970s, Perfumer’s Workshop had also developed ready-made fragrances, broadening its work beyond custom blending. Today, Tea Rose is presented as the original rose fragrance by Perfumer’s Workshop and as a continuing expression of classic rose perfumery. Classified as a classical single-note floral parfum, Tea Rose is the brand’s clearest defining scent. Its legacy also includes accounts of Princess Diana wearing a Tea Rose scent made by Perfumer’s Workshop and Nicole Kidman saying in 2004 that she had worn Tea Rose since age 14.
