Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers are a Major League Baseball organization whose public mission centers on baseball, entertainment, community, and fans. The franchise began as the expansion Washington Senators in 1961, moved to Arlington, Texas, and became the Texas Rangers for the 1972 season. In 2010, Major League Baseball approved the sale of the Rangers from Thomas O. Hicks to a group led by Chuck Greenberg and Nolan Ryan, known as Rangers Baseball Express. The TEXAS RANGERS trademark is currently owned by Rangers Baseball LLC for baseball exhibition entertainment.
