The Beachwaver Co./J. Bungalow

The Beachwaver concept originated in 2010, when hairstylist Sarah Potempa sketched a rotating curling iron after repeatedly explaining how to create beach waves, then partnered with her sister Erin to develop prototypes. After two years of development, the Beachwaver Pro launched in 2012, establishing the business around its rotating hair-styling tool. In 2020, The Beachwaver Co. launched the Make Waves haircare collection, whose products focused on creating beach waves and used a fresh, clean scent profile. Its fragrance extension, B.Bungalow, presents beach-oriented fragrances built around clean and fresh scent concepts rather than the documented style of a traditional perfume house. Bondi Beach Day was the collection’s first scent; its coconut-and-vanilla-orchid composition is described alongside a best-seller status and three sellouts.
