The Fragrance Design Studio

The Fragrance Design Studio publicly launched in 2013 under the earlier name Le Cherche Midi, established by fragrance-industry professional Nathan Motylinski. The studio is identified as Le Cherche Midi’s successor name, with Motylinski as its owner. Its creative model presented original fragrance concepts in seasonal Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections, using numbered fragrances rather than descriptive names. Cécile Hua was the credited perfumer associated with the brand’s fragrance work, and a 2019 Puig publication credits her with developing Le Cherche Midi 08. The predecessor was also associated with a spill-proof fragrance-diffuser invention, with Le Cherche Midi listed as the original patent assignee; the patent’s priority date was August 15, 2008, and it was granted on October 23, 2012.
