The Harmonist

Founded by Lola Tillyaeva in 2013, The Harmonist is a perfume maison built around Feng Shui, harmony, and the balance of Yin and Yang. Its olfactory identity draws on the five Wu Xing elements—Earth, Wood, Water, Fire, and Metal—interpreted through Yin and Yang polarities, with fragrance presented as a means of personal self-discovery and equilibrium. French perfumer Guillaume Flavigny collaborated with Tillyaeva to translate this elemental framework into perfume compositions. The brand entered the market in 2016 with ten fragrances, including the Elements Collection, which transposes Feng Shui’s elements into scent and is described as The Harmonist’s signature collection. In 2020, it introduced the Sun & Moon Collection as a paired interpretation of the two celestial forces. The Harmonist states that it received Allure’s Best of Beauty Award in 2022 and was nominated for the US Fragrance Foundation Awards in 2021 and 2022. In 2025, it announced the Nebula Collection, continuing its use of celestial imagery and elemental energy.
