The Maker

The Maker was founded by Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, who also founded Fresh. It began as an immersive 11-room hotel in Hudson, New York, before extending into fragrance, lifestyle, hospitality, and retail. The hotel opened in August 2020, while the fragrance brand launched in 2021. Its creative identity connects scent with hotel experiences, travel fantasies, memory, sensuality, eclectic design, and immersive storytelling. The fragrance line debuted with six eaux de parfum and three scented candles, marking Glazman and Roytberg’s first beauty venture in 30 years after Fresh. Glazman is the brand’s fragrance architect, creating fragrance structures and collaborating with perfumers to realize each scent. In 2022, Stag Eau de Parfum won Indie Fragrance of the Year at the Fragrance Foundation Awards. In July 2024, True Beauty Ventures made its first investment in The Maker to back the fragrance business and support its growth.
