The Master Perfumer

The Master Perfumer is a fragrance line developed by Dutch drugstore retailer Kruidvat and launched in 2012. The retailer behind the line was founded in the Netherlands in 1975 by the De Rijcke family, with its first store in Hilversum. The initial line comprised six eau de toilettes developed in Paris with Parisian perfumers, including Rose No. 8 and Blue Spice No. 25. Its public identity is organized around numbered fragrances, with each number presented as a variant selected by the perfumer through an extended process of evaluation and refinement. Reference records associate the line with perfumer Nicolas Beaulieu and document releases from 2012 through 2021. Kruidvat is currently part of the A.S. Watson Group, a retail group within CK Hutchison Holdings.
