The Vagabond Prince

Established in 2012 by Zoran and Elena Knezevic, The Vagabond Prince is a California-based niche perfumery whose creative world draws on Slavic fairytales, forests, nature, and musical imagery. The founders had previously owned the fragrance website Fragrantica and formed the house to market its first perfume, Enchanted Forest. Launched in 2012, the fragrance connects Russian forests and the Slavic Kupala festival with a dark woodland composition built by Bertrand Duchaufour around blackcurrant. Duchaufour also created Enchanted Forest and is associated with the house’s creations. The collection includes Swan Princess and Land of Warriors, launched in 2014, and Bass Solo, introduced in 2016. Its fragrance stories explore forest, water, battlefield, and concert hall themes. Enchanted Forest is the house’s clearest defining fragrance and has been described as probably its most popular.
