Fragrance house
Thomas Kosmala
Founded in 2014 by Thomas Kosmala after his study of classical perfumery in Paris, the eponymous fragrance house is associated with the South of France. Kosmala’s professional path began with aromatherapy oils in London, followed by two years of perfumery training in Paris and the establishment of a laboratory in southern France. The house developed from an early focus on oud; in 2017, Black Oud and White Oud were described as early creations, alongside plans to expand the Oud Collection. Its creative language combines traditional perfumery with contemporary experimentation, bringing classic raw materials and innovative ingredients into emotionally expressive scent profiles. By 2017, the Signature Collection was undergoing rebranding with a Toronto design agency as the brand developed a more defined visual identity. Kosmala remains the brand’s central creative figure and perfumer, with the fragrances created in his own laboratory. Its Black Collection reinterprets Arabian perfumery traditions and heritage through contemporary compositions. No. 4 Après l’Amour, released in 2018, has a dedicated No. 4 Art Collection and is the house’s clearest signature fragrance.
