Thymes

Founded in 1982, Thymes began when its founder hand-crafted fragrant bath and body products in a kitchen, using local ingredients including herbs from her garden. From the outset, the concept joined a love of nature with a passion for art and an aim to help people find beauty and balance. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the brand expanded from bath and body into home fragrance and home care while retaining its original heritage. A 2005 brand restaging carried its nature, art, and beauty attributes across its product lines, followed by the 2006 launch of Kimono Rose, the first new bath-and-body sub-brand after the redesign. Frasier Fir, launched in 2004, became Thymes’ signature scent and a best seller in Minnesota and other states, while becoming associated with annual holiday traditions. In February 2016, Thymes combined with DPM Fragrance, maker of the Aspen Bay and Capri Blue brands; the combined company was renamed CURiO later that year, while Thymes retained its name and packaging. CURiO was acquired by York Capital in December 2021, and Thymes is currently listed among CURiO Brands, LLC’s brands.
