Tisserand
Tisserand traces its foundation to 1974, when aromatherapy pioneer Robert Tisserand established The Aromatic Oil Company, a predecessor of Tisserand Aromatherapy. His work focused on essential-oil science, safe application, blending, and public education; his 1977 book, The Art of Aromatherapy, helped bring wider recognition to aromatherapy. In 1988, he founded the Tisserand Institute in London and launched The International Journal of Aromatherapy, which he published and edited until 2000. First Natural Limited acquired Tisserand on 27 April 2007, moving the brand from its founder-led origins into a broader aromatherapy and natural personal-care portfolio. Tisserand Aromatherapy is currently operated by First Natural Limited, which is identified as the company name and trademark owner. Its fragrance identity is rooted in aromatherapy, pure essential oils, and functional pre-made blends designed around wellbeing uses such as stress, sleep, and women’s wellbeing.
