Tommi Sooni
Tommi Sooni is an Australian niche fragrance line established by Steven Broadhurst, whose first fragrance, Tarantella, was introduced in 2008. Broadhurst traced the idea to his experience of French perfumery in Paris in 2004 and a desire to create an Australian perfume of comparable artistry and quality. As creative director, he developed fragrance briefs and presented them to perfumer Brett Schlitter and his team for formulation. Its creative approach joined an Australian perfume identity to the classic French perfumery tradition. After Tarantella, the line developed through Eau de Tommi Sooni I and II and Jinx in 2011, Passerelle in 2012, and Eau de Tommi Sooni III in 2013. Tarantella was presented as a chypre-style perfume inspired by Paris, Avignon, Sicilian flora, and French perfumery, while Passerelle linked Australian native flora with French perfume character. A 2015 reference source reported that Tommi Sooni appeared to be out of business by that time.
