UCLA traces its identity to the University of California Southern Branch, established in 1919; it adopted the name University of California at Los Angeles in 1927 and began instruction at its Westwood campus in 1929. Based in Los Angeles, with its main campus in Westwood, UCLA has extended its identity into fashion and lifestyle collections since 1973, linking academic, athletics, and California heritage themes. UCLA Trademarks & Licensing manages use of the name on consumer products, which are made by licensees under agreements with UCLA. The identity entered fragrance as a licensed extension rather than through an independently founded perfume house. By 2025, UCLA was listed under o2o Beauty at Beauty Istanbul across perfumery, skin care, and color cosmetics, while the Turkish UCLA site maintained a perfume category with unisex body-and-hair mists and women’s and men’s eau de parfum offerings.
