Untamed

Untamed is an independent fine-fragrance house based in Vancouver, British Columbia, founded by Canadian scent artist Sunyata Calogeros-Smith, a former somatic psychotherapist who became the brand’s perfumer. Its creative identity draws on the wild landscapes of Canada’s West Coast, adventure travel, diverse cultures, emotions, memories, music, and art. The fragrances are conceived in Vancouver and handcrafted through blending, compounding, bottling, and labeling by hand. Shaped by the Wild, the house’s first perfume, was inspired by a journey through the British Columbia wilderness and memories of cedar, smoke, and a family Potlatch; the 2021 fragrance also became the namesake of the brand.
