Unum

Unum was founded in 2013 by Italian artist, designer, musician and cathedral organist Filippo Sorcinelli, and released its first fragrance, LAVS, in 2014. The project grew from Sorcinelli’s LAVS atelier, founded in 2001 to create sacred vestments, furnishings and liturgical accessories. Unum is an olfactory-tailoring and lifestyle project shaped by artistic references that extend from spirituality into music, Gothic art, photography and other creative practices. Sorcinelli is the central creative author of the UNUM, Extrait de Musique and Memento collections, described as conceived and composed by him. The project also includes Atmosphère d’émotion and SuperFluo?; Memento, presented at Esxence in 2024, is devoted to cathedral sacristies. LAVS is the fragrance most directly associated with Unum: first created as a scent for boxes containing sacred vestments, it became a wearable perfume after customers requested it.
