Fragrance house
Usher
Usher entered the fragrance business in 2007 through a deal with Liz Claiborne Cosmetics, launching the paired fragrances Usher He and Usher She in September that year. The initial concept linked scent with his music and wider artistic identity, bringing together art, music, and personal passions. Usher He ranked first among men’s fragrance launches for fall 2007 and fifth overall among men’s fragrances in U.S. department stores. In 2008, UR for Men and UR for Women followed as more youthful, casual counterparts to the original pair. That year, Elizabeth Arden assumed the Usher celebrity-fragrance license under an exclusive global licensing arrangement for the Liz Claiborne fragrance portfolio. Revlon completed its acquisition of Elizabeth Arden on September 7, 2016, changing the parent company behind the Usher fragrance license.
