Valmont

Valmont’s institutional history reaches back to Clinique Valmont, founded in 1905 by Dr. Henry-Auguste Widmer in the Swiss Riviera; the Valmont skincare brand was created in 1985 after the clinic’s work in genetics and cellular cosmetics. The original cosmetic range was first acquired by Didier Guillon’s father’s pharmaceutical group and later by Didier Guillon, who continued developing it in Switzerland. Today, Valmont is a Swiss family-owned company led by Didier Guillon and Sophie Vann Guillon, whose expertise in cosmetology, product development, and marketing also supported the brand’s later fragrance activity. Under Didier Guillon, the house developed an artistic dimension alongside its cosmetic identity, and in 2015 he created Fondation Valmont at Palazzo Bonvicini in Venice for exhibitions and cultural patronage. Its fragrance identity centers on Storie Veneziane by Valmont, launched in 2018 as its first fragrance collection, with five perfume extracts inspired by Venice, Murano glass, and Venetian neighborhoods. In 2012, Valmont also acquired Italian perfume producer Il Profumo, marking a significant expansion into perfumery.
