Ventilo
Ventilo is a French high-end ready-to-wear brand founded in 1972 by brothers Jacques and Armand Bouaziz. Their interest in cultures from around the world shaped the collections, giving the brand an identity built around varied cultural influences. Ventilo also became associated with a Paris concept-store format combining fashion with books, exhibitions, and a tea salon. The company entered a court-supervised safeguard procedure in October 2010; a safeguard plan was approved in April 2012, with Jacques Bouaziz responsible for executing it. After judicial reorganisation in early 2015, the Paris Commercial Court approved a total transfer plan on 1 February 2016 in favor of Filatures du Lion and Mercury. Ventilo was placed into judicial liquidation the following month, and Filatures du Lion, owner of Majestic Filatures, took over the brand name and part of its assets. The namesake Ventilo fragrance was introduced in 1997 and was described as the fashion company’s only fragrance.
