Vermeil Cologne
The Jean Louis Vermeil fragrance label has a recorded history from 1987 to at least 2000. A company named C. M. C. Paris & Jean Louis Vermeil was reported as founded in 1983, while the label’s surviving public record is sparse, with little advertising or manufacturer information. Its documented range includes Maïssa, Casaque, and later men’s fragrances presented in tabletop-lighter-style flacons. From 2001, the VERMEIL perfume trademark was recorded as owned by U.S.-based Delta Perfume House, Inc., with a renewal accepted in 2011. The label’s strongest documented fragrance identity is its men’s line: Vermeil for Men and Vermeil Black are identified among its most famous men’s fragrances and are associated with lighter-like bottles. Vermeil Pour Homme is classified as an oriental fougère, combining black currant, galbanum, citrus, florals, oakmoss, musk, patchouli, vetiver, and cedar.
