Versatile

Versatile Paris was founded by Coralie Frébourg in January 2021, after she graduated from the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris and lost a planned luxury-group marketing role during the COVID-19 hiring freeze. The brand launched in October 2021 after ten months of development, with an initial collection inspired by familiar moments in everyday life. Its creative identity centers on changing moods and recognizable experiences rather than fixed gender categories, linking fragrances to moments such as breakfast, tea time, hangovers, and aperitifs. From the outset, Versatile used small, alcohol-free, oil-based roll-ons with a high fragrance concentration as an alternative to conventional large spray perfumes. Its scents also draw on food and drink, connecting fragrance with taste and smell. Pierre formally joined as co-founder in June 2023; after their personal relationship ended in January 2024, he and Frébourg continued working together as business associates. The range expanded into lower-concentration eau de parfum roll-ons in April 2025, followed by spray extraits in April 2026.
