Victor
Victor’s documented historical roots lie in Milan’s Gi.Vi.Emme perfume company, founded in 1921 by Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone, whose fragrances later became associated with the Victor line. Historically linked to Gi.Vi.Emme’s men’s products, the Victor line was identified as a creation of Giuseppe Gastel, who managed the brand through the 1970s. Visconti di Modrone’s company built recognition through carefully named perfumes, distinctive Venetian and Murano glass packaging, and substantial exports to America. In 1983, Kelémata acquired the Visconti di Modrone brand; it now presents Victor as “Victor – Visconti di Modrone” within its tradition of Italian men’s perfumery. The brand’s public identity centers on men’s fragrance and related shaving products, including eau de toilette, after-shave, deodorant, and shower products. Acqua di Selva and Silvestre are listed among the earliest documented Parfums Victor fragrances, with entries dated 1947, and are identified among Victor di Milano’s best-selling products.
