Victoria
Victoria’s Secret is an American lingerie and beauty brand founded in 1977 by Roy Raymond as a store intended to make men more comfortable buying lingerie for their wives. The name combines Victorian-era associations, including Queen Victoria, with “Secret” as a reference to intimacy. On August 3, 2021, the business became an independent public company, Victoria’s Secret & Co., encompassing Victoria’s Secret Lingerie, PINK, and Victoria’s Secret Beauty. Its public creative identity has since emphasized individual identity and uplifting women; a 2022 Bombshell campaign expressed that there is a Bombshell in everyone. Bombshell also stands as the brand’s clearest fragrance legacy, identified as a best-selling fine fragrance and America’s No. 1 fragrance, with a fruity-floral character.
