Fragrance house
Victorio & Lucchino
Victorio & Lucchino was created in Seville in 1979 by José Víctor Rodríguez Caro and José Luis Medina del Corral, who joined professionally and opened a shop on Calle Sierpes. The designers presented their first collection internationally at the New York International Fair in 1985 and expanded into bridalwear, presenting their first prêt-à-porter bridal collection in Barcelona in 1995. Rooted in Andalusian culture and Spanish heritage, the brand translates those references into contemporary design. Its fragrance history began in 1992 with Carmen, its first women’s perfume, the house’s clearest defining fragrance example; Sur later received Telva’s T de Oro in 1998. A subsequent agreement restored the designers’ control of the fashion brand, licenses, and Seville shop, while Puig retained control of the brand for perfumery. In 2019, the designers received Spain’s Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts.
