Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. was incorporated on April 4, 1923, by brothers Harry, Albert, Sam, and Jack Warner. The studio expanded from early film production into synchronized-sound filmmaking, adopting Vitaphone and releasing Don Juan in 1926, The Jazz Singer in 1927, and Lights of New York in 1928. Its activities came to encompass film, television, animation, DC-related properties, consumer products, gaming, and other entertainment businesses. In 2022, Discovery and AT&T completed a transaction combining Discovery with AT&T’s WarnerMedia business to create Warner Bros. Discovery. Today, Warner Bros. is included in Warner Bros. Discovery’s Studios business alongside Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Television Group, consumer products, brand licensing, publishing, home entertainment, and interactive gaming. The brand marked its centennial in 2023 with a global campaign focused on its history, films, television content, characters, and franchises.
