Wellfounded

Wellfounded Botanicals was founded by Sara Rotman and launched in California in 2020. The brand grew from Rotman’s experience with life-threatening Crohn’s disease, her search for consistent cannabis-based wellness products, and an organic cannabis farm she established with her husband in California. Wellfounded is a female- and Latinx-owned cannabis wellness brand focused on plant-based wellness for people and the planet. In 2021, it evolved from its cannabinoid wellness line into fragrance through a partnership with Scent Beauty, which launched the CBD Eau de Parfum on October 27. The Eau de Parfum is Wellfounded’s first fragrance, inspired by the family farm in Santa Barbara and the surrounding California landscape. Developed with fragrance designer Raymond Matts and Firmenich perfumers Alexis Grugeon and Honerine Blanc, it translates the farm’s sea air, coastal sage, eucalyptus, oak, and cannabis environment into scent.
